Police Law Conference 2018
5 Essex Court held its annual Police law Conference - now in its 19th year - on 28 June in London. The event was oversubscribed with over 100 delegates from a range of organisations including police forces across the country, law firms and the IOPC. Anne Studd QC was the lead member responsible for putting together the Conference, chaired by Head of Chambers, Jason Beer QC, with 15 other members speaking and moderating the various sessions. The format was a mix of presentations and lively discussions around key issues and developments in police law. Chambers is grateful to delegates for their invaluable contribution and for helping make the day such a success. Feedback has been extremely positive and comments include:
"Clearly the pre-eminent chambers providing the best training day for police law”.
“an absolutely outstanding day which squeezes in so much learning (managing to make it fun!)”
"One of the best things about the day in my view is that it really demonstrates that not only do you have barristers and clerks who are brilliant at what they do, but they’re also so clearly invested in their police clients and they’re approachable, friendly and really great company”.
The next Conference will be held in June 2019.
