The European Data Protection Board – the EDPB – is an independent European body which works to ensure a consistent application of data protection rules throughout the European Union. The Board’s membership includes representatives of the national data protection authorities, and the European Commission has the right to participate in its meetings. The Chair of the EDPB is the head of the Austrian Data Protection Authority.
On the 28th of November, a jury returned their conclusion in the Inquest of Mr Adrian MacDonald. They ruled Mr MacDonald’s death was caused by the effects of cocaine and stress of the incident.
The Inquest into the death of Welsh Assembly member Carl Sargeant has been adjourned following a week of evidence including that of the First Minister of Wales, Carwyn Jones.
