Trevor Smith Inquest finds police shooting was a lawful killing

Following examination of the circumstances and actions of officers involved, the Inquest into the police shooting of Trevor Smith concluded on Wednesday 17th November. Trevor Smith was fatally shot by officers from West Midlands Police Firearms Unit on 15th March 2019 during an intelligence-led operation. The jury returned a verdict of lawful killing.
