Bobby Talalay successful in false imprisonment and trespass jury trial

​Bobby Talalay was instructed by Clyde and Co. on behalf of the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis. The jury trial, at Central London County Court before HHJ Freeland QC, related to the arrest of parents arising from concerns for the children, themselves taken into protective custody. The claim was for damages for loss of liberty, aggravated damages, and personal injury.

In the event, no matters were left for the jury, the claim was dismissed, and a costs order was made in the Defendant’s favour, enforceable at 50%.

Bobby has extensive experience of acting on behalf of police forces and other organisations in claims for false imprisonment, assault, malicious prosecution and other civil actions
