5 from 5 – New Employment Law Bulletin

‘Five from 5’ is the name of the new employment law bulletin created by the employment team at 5 Essex Court and edited by barristers, Dan Hobbs and Clare Harrington.

It will be sent out by email, once a month, to hundreds of employment lawyers on the 5 Essex Court database. Whilst the employment team hopes that the bulletin will prove an invaluable resource to recipients, anyone who wishes to take their name off the mailing list can do so easily by clicking on a link provided within the bulletin.

The aim of the bulletin is to present in ‘headline’ format 5 new or interesting facts arising in the employment law field each month. It will be short, sharp and to the point and will keep the recipient informed and up to date. It will often direct, by hyperlink, the interested reader to greater detail and analysis on the featured subjects to be found elsewhere (whether on the employment team’s blog, Five from 5 In Depth or otherwise publicly available).

The editors will be drawing upon the vast pool of experience and knowledge held by the 5 Essex Court employment law team. Members of the team include recognised leaders in the field, those recommended in Chambers and Partners 2014, those sitting as part-time employment judges and those appointed to the Attorney-General’s panel. The team works broadly across the UK’s primary economic sectors such as banking and finance, construction, engineering and retail as well as working for public sector institutions including the police and the NHS. It also receives a growing number of instructions through the direct public access scheme.

The team hopes that recipients will enjoy reading the monthly bulletin and the editors welcome any comments or recommendations which can be emailed to them at employment@5essexcourt.co.uk
